Safe Manual Handling Training
Most places of work will require some element
of manual handling when it comes to movement of loads. No
matter how small the lift injuries can occur.
Manual Handling Operations (MHO) still account
for the largest percentage of workplace ill health
today. With appropriate training the risk of injury and
ill-health can be significantly reduced.
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations require the
Employer to eliminate manual handling where a significant risk
of harm exists. Where this cannot be done then a Manual
Handling Risk Assessment must be undertaken.
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations
require the Employer to provide manual handling training
appropriate to the workplace activities undertaken.
This is a half day course aimed at addressing the
training requirement for safe manual handling.
